Goumi Kids: Trend Strategy

The Goumi Kids team were looking for trend guidance that would inform print development for their initial launch. The brief was to identify global themes influencing all product categories, then distill them into the narratives most resonant within the kids and baby market.

I was asked to translate these macro themes into gender-neutral motif directions — spanning critters, geometrics, and conversational prints — and to recommend cohesive color palettes. I also leveraged my relationships with artists to propose unique interpretations of these themes, ensuring the final concepts felt both on-trend and distinctly ownable for the brand. The resulting print by Kate Puglsey was bold, naive, inclusive, and played perfectly with the chosen trend story of global explorations and play.
